About my practice

Time for Answers offers counselling every day of the week with sessions starting at 8 am and some evening sessions available. Sessions last an hour.

My rates vary, for example:

£45 for a hour

£40 an hour if a student

Payment can be cash or bank transfer

I always ask to have for an initial consultation to discuss the nature of the problem, to answer specific questions and give clients opportunity to make their minds up as to whether they are happy to work with myself.

Online service
I also offer Google Meet for clients who may prefer to access counselling online, with some email support included.

Some common concerns that you may have with regards to Counselling:-

What do I talk about?
Sometimes there is so much going on in your mind that its a relief to be able to say what’s troubling you, and it’s easy to talk. I can help you make sense of what’s going on for you.
Sometimes your mind goes blank, you just feel bad, it’s hard to find the right words, any words. I can help you find a way to say what you need to say, and help you see your choices.
And at no point will a client be asked to talk about things they do not wish to explore.

Will counselling be confidential?
All sessions are confidential and nonjudgmental.
There are exceptions when confidentiality maybe challenged under the Terrorism Act and Money Laundering laws. Any need to breach confidentiality would be discussed with a client beforehand.

How many sessions do I need?
In my experience some clients need a few sessions, some need to work on their issues for several months or more. I do not ask clients to sign up for any specific number of sessions.
There is no rule that fits all.
It depends on when a client feels comfortable, and wants to end counselling.

What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Some folks have said that counselling is a lighter form of therapy, with psychotherapy being more in-depth. In my experience, the words are interchangeable, what is more important is what the client gets from the session, how helpful it is, never mind what its called…Does it help?

How do I change or cancel a session?
Clients can text me and/or leave a message.
